You may be the parent of a child just about to start school. Starting school for the very first time is an exciting experience for your child. For you it might be the first contact you have had with a school since your childhood. Or you may be a parent who has just moved to the area and need to settle your child into a new school. Whatever your reason for looking at our school it will be a time where you want to make the best possible choice for you and your family.

Here at Houghton we strive to make you and your child feel welcome and to make their experience of school a happy and rewarding one. Our aspiration is that the school community will reflect all that is best in society. One of the most satisfying aspects of my role is being able to work in partnership with a variety of people who share a common vision about the development of every child within a caring and supportive environment. The school team works together to make everyone’s time with us as enjoyable and fruitful as possible. Within the school prospectus documents below we hope to give you a flavour of life at Houghton Primary School together with information which we hope you will find helpful.

It is impossible to convey everything that you will want to know. Please make an appointment to come and see for yourselves. We look forward to meeting and working with you.
